You Look Marvelous!

Decades ago, candles were made from Paraffin wax (a petrol derivative), a wax that is much harder than soy which allowed us to make pillar candles, candles without vessels. Vessel or container candles were introduced about the early 2000s. They were initially simply glass containers such as was found at Yankee Candle Company. As luxury manufacturers entered the market vessels became much more sophisticated. They are marvelous works of art in and of themselves today.

Once a candle is spent (and I do not reuse it), I love the idea that I can re-purpose it as a bud vase-my favorite reincarnation. But you can choose to give it whatever new life you wish (objets d'art, make-up brush container, etc.) Who does not want extra value for the money?

The idea of candle subscriptions has occurred to me. When your candle is spent, you may mail the container back and choose your fragrance for a significant discount. What do you think of this idea?
